Corn rootworm hatch risks will continue in the forecast this week into next weekend especially across Kansas as well as in Illinois and western Indiana where soil temperature heat unit accumulations have met or exceeded initial hatch thresholds. Fields in southwest and south central Kansas and those from southwest into central and eastern Illinois and western Indiana are at the greatest risk of seeing new corn rootworm hatches this week. Portions of central Kansas and as far northwest as the Illinois River in Illinois may also see some hatches commence by late week into next weekend.
