Corn Rootworm
Corn rootworm risks have been reduced to the Moderate category with more fields moving past growth stages where corn rootworm beetles will cause issues, with the greatest lingering concern for the next week or so across late planted fields along/north of I-90. Moderate risks remain in the forecast for the next week across Nebraska, northeast Colorado, the eastern Dakotas, Minnesota, Iowa, central and northern Illinois, Wisconsin, lower Michigan, central and northern Indiana, Ohio, and into southern Ontario, Canada. Growers should take note of where corn rootworm beetles are present, and even if treatment is not warranted based on population and/or crop stages, it could affect planting intentions next spring.
