Corn Earworm
There is little to no risk for corn earworm migration in the next five days. Northwest flow is expected to dominate the corn-growing region weather pattern into early next week, thus any southerly wind possibilities will be brief and mainly confined to the mid-south and southern states. We may see some risk return to at least portions of the corn-growing region by next week. Despite the lack of migration risk, growers with crops at critical stages of growth are encouraged to continue to monitor traps and scout fields as some new migrants may have arrived in association with weather systems this past weekend.
