Corn Earworm
Persistent south to southwest wind flow from source regions in Texas and southern Oklahoma will result in a prolonged period of potential corn earworm migration across portions of the eastern Plains and southern Corn Belt. Moderate corn earworm migration risks are predicted as far north as the Iowa/Missouri border for Monday night and continuing across especially Kansas and Missouri for Days 2-3 where corn crops are further along and other hosts are more widely available. Low risks extend as far north as the I-90 corridor later tonight and into tomorrow and as far east as the Appalachian Mountains by the end of the extended period as a cold front pushes east.
