Alert Details

As a cold front works its way through the upper Midwest and western/central corn-growing region in the next 24-36 hours, some modest south to southwest flow in advance of the front may result in some isolated corn earworm moth flights. Precipitation may serve as an insect drop zone for any migrating moths later this evening and into early tomorrow morning especially from Kansas and Missouri northeast into eastern Nebraska, Iowa, southern Minnesota, Wisconsin, and northwest/western Illinois. No migration risk is predicted thereafter primarily due to forecasted weak wind flow or predominantly northerly winds.
