Corn rootworm hatch is expected to continue for the next couple days across portions of central and east-central Illinois, far western Indiana, and also portions of north central and northeast Kansas. By the end of this week and into early next week, additional growing areas in portions of northeast Colorado, northwest Kansas, southern and southeast Nebraska, and additional areas in central Illinois and western Indiana may see hatch commence within the next week. Adequate soil temperature growing degree day accumulation and predictions and earlier than average corn planting/emergence dates may all result in corn rootworm hatch starting or continuing in these regions in the next week.
