Corn Rootworm
Corn rootworm hatch is expected to continue (or commence if not already started) across portions of northeast Colorado, southern/southeastern Nebraska, Kansas, central Illinois, and western/central Indiana the next few days. By the end of the week and into next weekend, soil temperature heat unit accumulations are expected to approach or perhaps exceed initial hatch thresholds across additional portions of northeast Colorado, central and eastern Nebraska, western and central Iowa, west central Illinois, Indiana, far western Ohio, and also potentially a small area of southern Wisconsin where sandier soils are resulting in greater heat unit accumulations in comparison to thicker soils to the south in northern Illinois.
