Corn Rootworm
Corn rootworm hatch should continue across an increasing portion of the corn-growing region in the next week. Fields from northeast Colorado into Kansas, central, southern, and eastern Nebraska, much of Iowa, central and western Illinois, Indiana, northwest, central, and western Ohio, and also portions of southwest Michigan, southern Wisconsin, and southwest Minnesota by the end of the week and next weekend. Soil temperature heat unit accumulations are increasing to or have surpassed initial hatch thresholds across these areas and growers should monitor for newly hatched larvae over the next week or so.
