Corn rootworm hatch may begin in portions of central and east southeast Illinois by late this week or next weekend, especially from near Jacksonville east through Springfield to near Charleston, Illinois as accumulated soil temperatures in the risk region are predicted to exceed initial hatch thresholds by that time. No other corn rootworm hatch risk areas are predicted in the next five days.
