Corn rootworm risks remain in place especially along and north of I-90 through this weekend, but are then removed from the forecast by next week as virtually all fields will be past critical stages of growth and there will no longer be a threat from this insect for this growing season. Growers are advised, however, to review what, if anything, this insect did to your fields this year and if you did experience problems or noticed high beetle populations, a change to planting practices may be needed next growing season.
