Corn Rootworm
Corn rootworm beetle pressure remains a concern across a large part of the corn-growing region. As a result, High corn rootworm beetle count risks remain in the forecast across northeast Colorado, northern Kansas, Nebraska, South and North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, lower Michigan, and into southern Ontario, Canada. Numerous reports of beetle counts nearing or exceeding threshold values are coming in from scattered locations across the corn-growing region. Even if counts are not at threshold values, it is important to take note of where these higher counts are located as this may affect planting intentions in 2020.
