Moderate soybean aphid development/population risks are in the forecast across portions of eastern South Dakota, southern Minnesota, far northern Iowa, and western Wisconsin with Low risks extending from eastern North Dakota and northwest Minnesota as far south as northeast Nebraska, central Iowa, far northern Illinois, and into central/eastern Wisconsin. The weather pattern has been and is expected to remain favorable for potential soybean aphid population increases in and near the risk areas, and with a higher percentage of the crop now in the reproductive stage, growers should regularly scout fields and make treatment decisions based on the situation in each specific field as soybean aphid populations do vary considerably from field to field.
