Soybean Aphid
Soybean aphid risks remain in the Moderate category for fields in eastern North and South Dakota, much of Minnesota, northern Iowa, and western Wisconsin. Low risks are found from the central Dakotas into northeast Nebraska, central Iowa, and additional portions of Minnesota and Wisconsin not already included in the Moderate risk as well as far northern Illinois, much of lower Michigan, and eastward into southern Ontario, Canada. Growers in and near the risk areas should continue to regularly scout fields that are in the R6 growth stage or earlier, and at the field level, to determine if any treatment is necessary based on crop stage and aphid populations/dynamics within that particular field. Soybean aphid populations can vary considerably even across adjacent fields so any treatment decisions should be made based on the specific field.
