Western Bean Cutworm
Moderate western bean cutworm emergence risks continue especially in fields from northern Kansas into southern Nebraska. Moth traps in this area are starting to capture western bean cutworm moths and counts should rapidly increase over the course of the next few weeks. Corn is also further along in its growth process in this area so increased risks are in place. Low risks surround the Moderate risk area in Nebraska and Kansas, and are also in place for a more isolated threat in the Great Lakes region from central Wisconsin southeast into lower Michigan, northern Indiana, northwest Ohio, and also by the end of the week into southwest Ontario, Canada.
