Western bean cutworm emergence will continue to increase especially across the northern corn-growing region and into the Great Lakes as heat unit accumulations continue to increase into critical emergence thresholds. The primary focus region is now along and north of I-80 from Nebraska through northern Iowa, northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin, and into the southern Great Lakes region. By this weekend and into early next week, peak flights should be occurring or continuing closer to I-90 from South Dakota into southern Minnesota and then along I-94 and points north from Wisconsin into Michigan and also into Ontario, Canada.
