Western Bean Cutworm
Western bean cutworms continue to pose a risk to crops especially from the Great Lakes region into Ontario, Canada where peak flights are either ongoing or are beginning to slowly decline. Additional high sporadic trap counts and in-field reports are located to the west of Lake Michigan across Wisconsin and portions of Nebraska although coverage is not as high as compared to the Great Lakes region proper. The primary focus through the next five days will remain near the lakes but a general decrease in the coverage of the High risk area continues through the middle of next week as peak flights pass and counts/field reports show fewer moths and associated problems.
